When we first started, Golden Plates was just one dude living in a harry potter closet in SLC, Utah. He soon recruited a pair of aliens from the planet Kolob, who promptly left top go back to their home planet to tell them about good music. Left with a hole in his heart and lineup, Elder Brycen cloned himself, and this brings us to our current lineup.
Conceived at the apogee of the 'Before-Time' (February 2020) The Qwarks dived from the harbour wall of certainty into the incandescent waters of unreason with new-minted fins & gills, swimming wildly for the horizon of promise.
They are purveyors of psyche rock infused-skronk & klong music.
Outside of Sweden, the word ‘avresa’ may not be so commonly known. In English it translates to departure for the beginning of an adventure. On the other side of the globe, it became a fitting name for a musical journey which Sydney-based songwriter, guitarist and pianist Jeremy was embarking on after transitioning from a 4-piece rock band into more challenging musical territory as a solo artist. A cinematic and unique sound difficult to categorise but largely inspired by alternative, indie rock, post-punk, folk and singer-songwriters.
Playful, unpredictable and wilful, the aristocrats of punk seek the perfect 2 minute garage rock masterpiece and scatter glitter and regret as they go.
